
In 1980, while on a trip with the Indiana University track team in Florida, Lance Fox took the stage for the first time winning a talent contest at a local venue. As a result of injuries, the two-time Big Ten champion and All-American pole vaulter would soon end his career as an athlete, and begin a new career as a very talented impressionist.
Lance has performed for a number of years on the comedy club circuit working with other comedians like Tim Allen and Brad Garrett. Lance has also opened for George Carlin at the Indiana University auditorium and for Dionne Warwick at Clowes Hall at Butler University. Over the years, Lance has worked many clubs in the Midwest and California, including The Indianapolis Comedy Connection, Crackers, Comedy Caravan, The Ice House, L.A. Cabaret, Carlos N' Charlie's (Hollywood), The Comedy Store, etc. Lance has also been a guest on the WFBQ 95 Bob & Tom radio show and their WXIN channel 59 Movie several times; not to mention, guest appearances on the WISH channel 8 news. He has done several one-man shows at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, and recently received a standing ovation there for his incredible variety of impressions, comedy, and singing impressions.
